Tangled (Tangled #1)

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything – or anyone – derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Review :

5 of 5 stars. Plus 2 thumbs up!

This book super awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Delightful. Fantastic. Hilarious.

Just let me rambling for this one.

When I saw this one at GR in Recommendation section, and read the blurb, then looking for the reviews, it just straight top to my TBR list. And I finished this book in one reading position – that how hooked I was with Drew.

Yes, Drew Evans. The hero with uncharacteristic anti-hero. Anti hero in the sense of the jerk and man whore type.

“Fuck, yeah. That’s good. Yeah, like that.“
See that guy—black suit, devilishly handsome? Yeah, the guy getting the blow job from the luscious redhead in the bathroom stall? That’s me. The real me. MBF: Me Before Flu.

He was a complete a*shol*. Arrogant. Full of himself. And this story was told in his POV.

Oh yeah. Just one more little detail you should know: I haven’t gotten laid in twelve days.Twelve days. Two hundred and eighty-eight sex-free hours. I can’t calculate the minutes—it’s too depressing. Remember all work and no play makes Drew a cranky boy? Well, at this point, Drew is practically a goddamned psychopath, okay?

Did, I hate him? Heck No. I loved him. Adore him.

Okay, maybe in the first pages he irritate me, but cmon, the monologue crack me up real bad. There’s lot of LOL moments. I was grinning and giggling the whole time. Definitely brighten up my day then.

This story show us how the mighty fallen, up close and personal. The man, who used to get his every whim, fall for a woman. When I mean FALL, he was really really in a deep hole, 50 feet deep down the earth.

I might as well shave my head and move to frigging Tibet. I hear the monks are hiring.

And I must admit, the heroine wasn’t really that special. She was fine, but definitely Drew win the spotlight. As a characters I love Katherine. She wasn’t some TSTL heroine, and she hold herself toward Drew.

“It makes me want to kiss her and strangle her at the same time. I’ve never been into S&M, but I’m beginning to see its benefits.”

Give yourself a treat by reading this funny, hilarious, romantic and hot story.

Happy Reading Fellas!
