My Teaser :

“This is important to me,” I whispered.

“And it’s important to me to be with the woman I love, the woman with
whom I intend to have a family, and do that without the possibility of her
getting riddled with bullets or comin’ back from getting ice cream with the
kids and finding our home has been leveled.”

15752757 The teaser is from Rock Chick Revolution, 8th installment of Rock Chick series written by Kristen Ashley.

As few peoples knew that I was/is/always be addicted to the amazing Kristen Ashley, this is the second time I  re-read this book after it published on August 13th 2013.

Being the last book in the series I was bit (liar, more than a bit actually) sad when I read this book. Definitely crying. It was like saying goodbye to our beloved friends.

Well, just let me share that the Heroine, Ally Nightingale, and the hero, Ren Zano. were not the standard contemporary romance where the badass is the hero. In this awesome story, Ally was the badass of the good side – daughter and sister of a cop, and Ren was a businessman who handle the legitimate side of his Shady Business Big Family (just call it simply MAFIA).

Read it , Enjoy it, Love it, and ROCK ON!!!!

Brown-Eyed Girl (Travis Family, #4)

By : Lisa Kleypas

Expected Publication : 2014

Down-on-her-luck fashion designer Avery Crosslin never expected to meet a handsome stranger in the Texas hospital where she has come to visit her father. Joe Travis is a patient in the ICU, recovering from life-threatening injuries after a boating accident. But Avery has no intention of letting any man distract her—especially not a member of the powerful Houston family she has sworn to hate. On the day of Joe’s departure from the hospital, he seeks her out, with unexpected consequences for Avery..

I am huge fan of Lisa Kleypas, and her contemporary romance, especially Travis Family was one of the best, IMO. So, when the magnificent Ms. Lisa Kleypas announce in her mailing list of her new installment of Travis Bunch, Joe’s story to be precisely, I was freaking excited.

Sadly, she have not made the cover yet… Well she even told us the publication date. This is the quotation of next Travis’s book (taken from her web http://www.lisakleypas.com) :

Will there be a 4th book in the Travis family series? LK : I’m writing it now!

Friday’s Recommendation : Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare

friday's rec

Hola Romanceland-ers!!!

Welcome back to Friday’s Recommendation,  meme hosted by Ren”s. What book was I going to recommended to you guys? No other than a book from fabulous author, Pamela Clare, with her infamous I-Team Series. I actually wanted to recommended the 5th book (the recent one I read) but all the books in the series are must to be read, and you must seriously read this in right order.

Extreme Exposure (I-Team #1)

By Pamela Clare

Published August 2nd 2005 by Berkley

It’s been years since her child’s father dumped her, and since then Kara McMillan has kept men at bay – although every day she aches more for a lover’s touch. But to get that, the hard-boiled journalist must become vulnerable – a feeling she vowed never to have again.

With his dangerous good looks, charm, and power, Senator Reece Sheridan could have just about any woman he sets his piercing eyes on. But he’s intrigued by only one. This Kara, this gutsy investigative reporter, has a sensuality that arouses him to no end. If she’s a firebrand in print, he guesses, she must be just as fiery in bed…

But this is no fling. A sudden political scandal – and attempts on Kara’s life – could very well drive them apart. Or maybe, just maybe, adversity could draw them into a bond even more intense than their steamy sexual embraces.

I read this book last year, after got it from some friend, without looking the glowing reviews about this amazing story. And I LOVE IT! As romantic suspense addict I was eager to read new author, and Pamela Clare definitely held her place as my favorite writer along with Linda Howard. So, why I just now mentioned about her? First and foremost, her books were hard to find. Seriously rare to find her paperbacks in here, except you bought the new one, and my budget didn’t cut it.  So, her book was forgotten.

Early this year I found her used book , the 5th installment of the series – Breaking Point- , and yeah I grab it fast. And it was awesome!!!!! More so than the the first book in my opinion. And I must share with another romance reader, of how wonderfully great the books are. If you ladies loved romance, enjoy reading romantic suspense with OMG hot scenes, pick the series right now.

Read the first book first, please. And it means, read this one. It was about a beautiful investigative journalist and gorgeous senator. For me, as couple they profession made their relationship very interesting. The romance was believable, not too slow but also not too fast paced, just right. The characters, not only the hero and heroine, but also the secondary were superbly described. And again very real. The author, who also a journalist, bring her real life experience and issues into the story and made the book more than just romance novel. With her background profession I wouldn’t questioned about the greatness of the plot and storyline, simply great. Writing skill? equally way more than good. Did I mention hot scenes? Yeah, hot without felt raunchy, just beautiful.

The book bring the suspense not just a shady background story, it was the story. The issue was real and it made the story felt darker. We also  introduce of how and who investigative reporters really are. Kara MacMillan was part of the I-Team,  an investigative reporting team at the Denver Independent newspaper. Reece profession as senator also bring us some light as how political person of interest revolve. Romantic suspense heroes used to be military, and it was a fresh air to find a politician become the alpha one – though I must admit I didn’t regard highly that particularly profession.

Overall, this book was a great read (4 stars/5stars), worthy of your time, and please simply grab it. Finger cross it will publish here in my country 🙂

The Most of 2012

Hello Romenceland-ers!!

For the end of year 2012 I will share all things the most.

This book definitely my favorite and also the second most frequently read (4 times!!!). There’s few competitor for the title, but this amazing story win the vote because there was not a single thing I didn’t like, none whatsoever that made me thought that this book was not perfect. Yes this book wasn’t flawless but it made the whole aspect of this book much more satisfying for me. Click here for my review.

The Most Frequently Read :

Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4)

This one almost made itself for become my favorite read, but I choose this one as my frequently read (4.5 times – why I used half measurement, coz there’s a time when I re-read it just for refreshing my favorite moments, basically just scan it). The Most Favorite Hero :

(The Picture is image of Acheron taken from Sherrilyn Kenyon official website  http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/character/acheron/)

Yes. For you who claimed as paranormal romance genre lovers, the infamous Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon and her focal character Acheron surely wasn’t a novel thought.  Ash. Akri. T-Rex. Achimou. My everlasting favorite hero. Sure, his position as my fave hero always had and always will be shaken by another contender, another alpha male hero, another gorgeous guy. But, he will always held the top five of my favorite hero.  Click here for my review.

The Most Favorite Heroine :

The heroine from Guild Hunter series (Angels’ Blood, Archangel Kiss, Archangel Consort) by Nalini Singh crawl up as my favorite heroine in few days time. Yes, I just recently started the series week ago and finished it today and Elena – the new immortal angel – somehow caught my attention so strongly. I love how she was trying compromised between her relationship with the hero, Raphael, without losing herself as independent warrior woman.

The Most Surprising Books :

The Siren (The Original Sin...The Angel (The Original Sin...The Prince (The Original Si...Seven Day Loan (The Origina...

This series categorized as erotica genre with BDSM theme surprisingly didn’t revolt me. In fact the series amazingly got me hooked up, crave for more of the characters and for the happily ever after which was quite impossibly  happen.  I wasn’t a fan of erotica, but enjoyed  erotic romance (note the different  please) and I was absolutely didn’t loved BDSM theme but ended like it like A LOT. Weird. But, this books surprisingly well written, so that was enough  explanation. Click my review of the series in here, here, and here.
