Review :

I’ve had this book in my shelves for a very looong time. Yet just week ago I read it. And couldn’t stop until 4 days later I finished all the books in the series (8 books total). So simply said : LOVED IT!!!!!

Read Fatal series was like step into JD Robb’s In Death series but a one notch down. More romance and less angst. Right package to enjoy romantic suspense. The suspense was very good, which surprising as my first experience of Force’s works was her contemporary, which too fluffy and too sweet. I enjoy the insight of Political world and homicide MPD.

Nick and Sam. I adore both of them. Though I love Nick more and sometimes Sam’s stubbornness and selfishness getting on my nerve. It was refreshing to read about alpha heroine (Sam was definitely a top dog) and not so badass hero ( Nick not as alpha as I hope for. He was more softer and very compromising).

The secondary characters was built as a very strong foundation into the story. Sam’s and Nick’s colleagues and family was big part of the story. As the case revolve around them. Must said that ghe groove between Sam and her partner, Freddie, remind me of Peabody-Eve partnership.

Last words :I was hooked. ‘nough said.

Navy SEAL Reid Galvin is back from hell and eager to find comfort in Becca Anderson’s arms. He knows he hurt her when he cut contact during his deployment, so when his call interrupts her date with another man, he has only himself to blame. But he can’t forget what she means to him—or the sexy email she sent him—and he won’t miss this chance to claim her as his own.

It’s been weeks since Becca heard from the man she thought she was involved with. So when Reid wants to take up where they left off as if nothing happened, she refuses. Then he rescues her from a first date gone very wrong, and she realizes she’s not quite ready to let him go.

Reid and Becca have a lot to talk about, but since she’s not listening, he’s going to have to regain her trust another way—by bringing her most erotic fantasies to life. Making her surrender to pleasure just might be his most important mission.

Review :

3 stars/5 stars

The title apt with the story. It was about seduction – between Reid Galvin, a badass SEAL, and Becca Andrews, a beautiful programmer. They were hooked up after met in someone weeding and pretty much fall to each other. But when Reid go back to the field and accident happen, he suddenly cut her out, Becca feeling hurt and she thought that she was just a fling for him. When she was going on a date with her coworker, for out of the blue Reid called her. Simply said that he was prepared to grovel. But at the end of the date Becca and her date almost killed, because they found an evident of embezzlement by someone in the company they work at. Reid save both of them and when he and Becca back home the seduction begun.

Okay. It was a quick and quite a nice read. Full of sexual tension – the writer spent pages just to accomplish one scene, seriously getting you hot and bother. And I must said for me it was too much. I appreciate how the author made the book more than just an erotica, how she made the romance between the hero and heroine become the big picture in the story. I love the two POV, it made us felt close with the hero and heroine and knew them better. There’s no questions left about their feeling.

The characters were great. The heroine was a sweet person, with strong personality, but also a feminine weakness that very believable and most important thing was she didn’t irritated me. The hero also a loveable guy. Yes he was an ass for stood her up, though it was a stupidity on his side, not because lack of feeling. But how he redeem himself, yeah he was worth it.

There’s suspense in it, it felt out of the story. The suspense and action way more than great actually, but……gah it was really hard to explain how I feeling about this book. The problem was I wanted more of the suspense because the author have great writing skill and produce such a good story. She had so much potential to made her book more than just a good read but somehow it just okay. I enjoyed the book but strangely I expected more from the author.

Teaser Tuesday #4

Hi fellas, welcome to another Teaser Tuesday!

My Teaser :

Currently I reading 3 books. One book in my purse for killing time while I’m going outside, one book in my nightstand – quick read before getting ready for sleep, and last an e-book which was my priority.

Taming the Fire (ACRO, #4)

Taming The Fire (ACRO #4)

By : Sydney Croft

Her voice shook when she asked, “Why do you care so much?”
He could spill his guts, tell her how she’d touched him—helped him. Instead, he said, “It’s my job.” (pg. 153)

I read this e-book ‘coz it’s part of paranormal romance series. After finished reading Lora Leigh’s The Breeds series I was looking for another series with almost the same atmosphere. Admittedly this  ACRO series by Sydney Croft was not that amazing like another PNR like JR Ward’s BDB series or Kresley Cole’s IAD series, but it was totally enjoyable. I was hooked when I read the first book last week and immediately looking for the next installment. One thing I love from this series is the thread of characters thorough the entire series. There are 2 most important couples along the series (whose don’t get their own book). So you must read from the first book until the last to find their story and the HEA. And also every hero and heroine from previous story always turn up in the next book. If you like paranormal romance with serious hotness level – in simple word : erotica romance genre – you could pick this one.

Another two books in my currently reading list are :

Notorious Pleasures (Maiden Lane, #2)

Notorious Pleasure (Maiden Lane #2)

By Elizabeth Hoyt

The silence was so complete that she thought for a moment that he was holding his breath. She opened her eyes to find him watching her,  his elbows propped on his knees, his green eyes still but with an expression in their depths that made her catch her breath. (pg 134)

Season for Surrender (Seasons, #2)

Season for Surrender (Season #2)

By :  Theresa Romain

Jane rolled her eyes and continued to mouth words as she acted out her bath. If he was reading her lips alright, she had an impressive vocabulary of swear words. (pg. 96)
